I have it probably for about 4 to 5 months and I haven’t even used a half of it. I recommend this product to everyone! It costs about 19 Eur I guess, but it’s worth it. Of course, there are ways to make it work again, like oils and stuff, but I think it is easier just to close it properly 🙂 Important to remember: make sure you close the paintpot cover very well, because otherwise it can easily dry out. With MAC I have not experienced that and I would rate it 9/10 (just to leave a place for growth :p). I have tried Maybelline 24h Color Tattoo eye shadow bases and I would rate it 7/10, cause few colors glide on very flaky and chalky and not very pigmented. A lot of other cosmetic companies offer these kind of products in similar colors, but the most positive reviews I have heard about MAC, Sigma and Maybelline. There are in total 23 shades – neutral, brown, taupe, green, blue, black and violet tones.

It has become one of my favorite eye shadow bases of all time already from the first time I used it. Eye shadows look more vibrant, easier to blend and stays put all day. In my experience, I haven’t seen any creasing after I use this product. Texture: it has a creamy texture when you apply it, but then it turns to semi matte finish. If your skin is very pale I would recommend to choose paintpot in color “Painterly” which is more pink based neutral shade and a little bit lighter. I personally use a little bit of translucent powder over it to prevent any creasing, but you can get along with neutral eye shadow too. As it is a neutral color, you can simply use this paint pot all over the eye, set with a powder and leave it like that. In the end you have a clean canvas to work with. This color not only works as a good eye shadow base, but also covers all the discoloration on the eye lid. I bought MAC paintpot in color “Soft Ochre” which is very neutral skin color (yellow based). Well – no regrets! I do like the way this product lasts, wears and looks. A lot of eye shadow bases do not last long on my eyelids cause during the day they do get a little bit oily, but I wanted to give this product a try, as a lot of people raved about it. I have made this post just to share my excitement about the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot. I have always been very skeptical when it comes to eye shadow bases, even more if they are as a cream base.
